Dance Like No One Is Watching
Make a playlist of your favorite upbeat songs to dance to while you are cooking, cleaning, or even brushing your teeth. You’ll be so caught up in the music, you won’t even notice you’re working up a sweat.
Use a basket instead of cart, load it up, then do bicep curls with it. Hold a squat for 30 seconds while checking out items on lower shelves. You can also clench your butt and ab muscles as you walk around the store.
Do Some Outdoor Chores
Get out and wash your car, mow the lawn, rake the leaves, or clean out the gutters. You’ll check off a few items from your honey do list and workout at the same time.
Stand In Line
Standing instead of sitting already helps burn more calories, but for extra credit you can do a few heel lifts while you are waiting. Stand on your toes then slowly lower yourself to the ground then repeat. You can use a wall or cart to help balance yourself.
Sit Like A Boss
If you do have to sit for a long time, make sure to move around every couple of minutes. You can clench your stomach muscles in and out, lift your legs up and down without touching the floor, do some arm exercises with a paperweight, or even do some kegel exercises. Consider replacing your chair with a stability ball to improve your posture and balance and workout your ab muscles.
Walk The Dog
Take your dog on a long walk after dinner to burn off some of your meal and let your dog stretch his legs. Don’t have a dog? Catch up with friends or family on the phone while you take a long walk.
